On Saturday May 10 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at 101 Lerner Hall, George Washington University, 20th and H Streets NW, mothers can find new ways to nurture their children and themselves even under the cloud of court litigation, abrupt loss of custody, and in some cases complete severance of contact with the children born from their bodies. The title of the program is Mothering Under Duress. Toby Kleinman, Esq. will be the first speaker.  Joyanna Silberg, Ph.D., will give the keynote talk on Children Falling Through the Cracks: Working Together to Support Children and Their Loving Parents. Anne Stevenson will speak on Teaching Corruption Victims How to Get What They Want From The Leaders Who Can Help Them Without Spending Money. Advocates and supporters are welcome. The cost is $20 for lunch (or $10 for snacks only) which also serves as your registration.

On Sunday May 11 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Mothers of Lost Children, their supporters, and courageous kids who grew up in dangerous homes with their batterers and molesters will gather for a silent vigil, speak-out and demonstration.  Hera McLeod, whose baby Prince was killed when with his father, will lead the speak-out at 11:20 am. Mothers of Lost Children t shirts will be provided.

Bikers Against Child Abuse have been invited to join us in a motorcade as we march.

On Monday May 12 the group will meet at 9:00 am in front of the Rayburn Building, Independence Ave and First Street SW. Mothers and supporters will educate Congress on this egregious human right violations of abused children of divorce during our lobby day. A Congressional briefing will be held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in 121 Cannon House Office Building to shed more light on the national scandal of family (divorce) courts taking children from safe nurturing mothers and giving them to batterers and molesters. The briefing title is SAFETY FIRST! for Abused Children of Divorce.

Mothers are not allowed to protect their children from crimes of violence and sexual abuse when the children have been court ordered to live with abusers. Family courts have perfected the torture of forcing mothers to watch their children being injured.

Colorado attorney Alan Rosenfeld coined an apt phrase. The family court system is causing “jurigenic harm” to women and children. “What does society expect a mother to do when she has good reason to believe her child is being sexually abused and there is no evidence?” he asked at the 2001 Battered Mothers Custody Conference.

Please join us, in person if you can, to protest this outrage.

It is also important to sign the petition asking for Congressional oversight hearings. https://www.causes.com/actions/1759775-stop-family-courts-from-sending-children-to-live-with-their-molestors
