Arlington Going to Be Hit Hard By Federal Sequestration ($9.6 Million): Expect 46 Layoffs in Arlington Government

Travel Wilson Blvd and note the high rise office buildings for the two mile stretch.  Almost every worker in those buildings depends directly or indirectly on federal spending.    The same goes for the residential high rise apartments.   With a tax base dependent on the federal government, Arlington is going to finally feel what the rest of the country has been feeling for the last five years.

Arlington is also proposing $9.3 million in cuts to county agencies, eliminating 46 county jobs.
