GLBT Community Has Much to Be Thankful For in Arlington Virginia

Arlington County

Over the last few years, the GLBT (Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transvestite) Community has slowing been establishing a beachhead in the Arlington County foster care industry.  Those connected with it have established themselves in responsible positions both in and around the family court of Arlington.   This liberal Democratic stronghold of Virginia will likely become the entry point for the standoff on joint adoption of children to GLBT adults, much to the chagrin of the conservative republican majority of the rest of the Commonwealth.   Many of the regularly appointed Guardian Ad Litems (GALs) who have been instrumental in orchestrating taking children away from good parents in Arlington have connections to the GLBT community both inside and bordering the Commonwealth (ie., Maryland and the District).   GALs are paid for by taxpayers — so this is a win-win — allowing them to support themselves while they establish this beachhead in the foster care/child adoption industry of Virginia.   So, congratulations to the the GLBT community,

Happy Thanksgiving.
